Sisters Supporting Sisters also supports inner-city women by developing fun and creative programs for their children. One such program is called "WOW"--Write On Writers--writing workshops developed for inner-city children. The workshops use writing to help inner-city children understand who they are, discover who they want to be, and delineate the roads to success.

The children are given an opportunity to explore themselves and their creativity by creating original work; enhance their literary knowledge by reading and performing poems, essays and books of other authors; improve their reading and writing skills by editing and publishing their own poems, essays and stories; and experience the power of the written word from writers, publishers, entertainers and other executive professional from the literary, entertainment and business community.

The Sisters Supporting Sisters seminars also use writing exercises to help inner-city women define themselves and their dreams.
